For 2024 National LGBT Health Awareness Week, P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome psychoanalyst & professor Avgi Saketopoulou presenting her newest book, Sexuality Beyond Consent: Risk, Race, Traumatophilia alongside professor & healer Ed Cohen presenting his newest book, On Learning to Heal or, What Medicine Doesn't Know with a discussion, audience Q&A, and book signing! After the talk, Avgi & Ed will sign copies of their books.

This is a ticketed in-store event with limited amphitheater-style seating. Cost of a $5 general admission ticket can be applied towards your purchase of the featured event book or any product in our café the night of an event. We encourage all guests to wear masks. The talk will be followed by a book signing. Books signed at P&T Knitwear events must be purchased from P&T Knitwear. If you would like a signed copy and cannot attend the event, we're happy to take your pre-order. We ship most places!

ABOUT THE AUTHORS Avgi Saketopoulou is a psychoanalyst in private practice in NYC and a member of the faculty at the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Ed Cohen is Professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Rutgers University and author of A Body Worth Defending, also published by Duke University Press. He hosts a therapeutic practice for people interested in healing.
